Colin Bytheway, the lead writer of the BBC’s success show ‘Holby City’, also known for his writing work on ‘Death in Paradise’ and ‘Distant Shores’, is currently developing our brand new TV series ‘Under a Croatian Sun’.

Based on the books by Anthony Stancomb, the story follows a middle-aged British couple who is trying to reboot their lives by moving from cloudy London to the sun-drenched, picturesque island of Vis in the Adriatic Sea. Anthony is a successful businessman who is looking to downshift while staying busy; Ivana, from a prestigious Croatian family, expects to receive a welcome home embrace.

Instead, they run smack into the island’s closed mentality, a host of cultural misunderstandings and numerous obstacles from the local government.

What do you do when paradise is no walk in the park?
